Medial head of the deltoid group supposedly has little to no influence at the bottom part of the movement. Only when you start to get to around 30 degree out from the torso do you you start to engage it.
Cable lat raises start the resistance from the very bottom, while DB’s you start to feel as gravity kicks in. So by combining BOTH cable and DB you will have more resistance at top of the movement.
Give side lat raises using cable AND a dumbbell. “Gotta change it up keep the body guessing lol” this exercise is really good for really feeling the muscle the entire range of motion.
