Decrease stability - Increase difficulty for a unique chest session
Bench pressing is most often judged by “how much do you bench”.
There are two ways in which to make a bench press hard. You make it heavy – load, or you increase stability or instability. By making an exercise more unstable you are forcing the body to work more symmetrically.
A lot of people bench recklessly and with too much load. Here is an alternative to making an exercise hard with making its scary reckless unstable ie on a Swiss ball off a bench in the middle of a highway lol. Bands add an extra instability challenge along with the legs up in the air taking away the drive and balance through the feet. Try it next Monday – International chest day.
